Insta-FlashBack

My friend Dani wanted me to update once a week with photos from Instagram, OOTD photos, my creations photos. So taking her advice I decided that I would choose some of my favorite photos from the past two weeks. Describing the photos from the first row going down:

1. That's a view of NYC from a park that's literally a 5 minute walk up from us. The good thing about the neighborhood we live in now is the parks that we have near us.
2. I wanted to include a photo of myself. Although I have been so tired it is a photo that's simple.
3. Mizi...oh my darling! She's learned how to get up on the windows. The joy it brought to me knowing that she wanted to see outside, check everything out.
4. I have another photo I have to post of Mizi being silly in her little play tower. She loves that thing! I know it was a good $50 investment.
5. I am in love with the lighting that we get in the apartment. The tall ceilings with the windows that I can barely reach halfway without being on my tippy toes. Mornings are always nice.
6. I'm not one to wear much jewelry, but the bracelets are definitely keepers. The S represents Steff & the friendship we have. The Buddha is made by Rey Jeff, which I posted in a previous post.
7. We didn't have a kitchen table & when my Mom came over last weekend she came up with a temporary table look. Thanks to my Mom & Tae our table looks very cute. So as a household we finally had dinner in our kitchen without standing & eating at the counter.
8. Lastly, tea in bed while watching TV. It's so relaxing & definitely brings me at ease. The sound bar definitely makes the volume & bass sound so much better too.

Friday is tomorrow & the weekend is finally here. Although it's supposed to rain this weekend, I'm ready to just relax. I just want to be in bed all weekend & force myself to sleep as much as possible.

What have you all been getting into for the week? What are you looking forward to?

Quick, Easy & Healthy Dinners!

It's always nice to see someone featured on the blog but what about some meals being featured that everyone can enjoy? Although this is just a new idea & it might move to it's own day of the week, I wanted to try something new. :]

I came home & I'm so exhausted. Last night I realized while cooking that it takes me a while to clean/cut the meat, think of a side to make with it, what seasonings I want to put on the meat, pulling the meal together entirely after cooking it. So today I figured why not make something that is good, healthy-ish & can be done in 20 minutes!

All the photos below are what I used in the meal. Pasta is always quick to make, but the packages are not only fast but super delicious! We had left over meatballs so I took them diced them & seasoned them.

So delicious & at a great price.
Under $1 a package.
Lightly cooked in butter.
Seasonings used for the meatballs (not too much) & a teaspoon of butter to crisp in the pot.
Finished product.
It came out really good & with only two packages I can feed four people & have leftovers. Works out pretty well honestly. I considered having garlic bread on the side but because of how late it got I didn't want to have starch on starch. So instead a nice salad would be best depending on the time you are eating.

Try it & let me know how your meal comes out. :)

Buddha All Over

The apartment is turning into a place of tranquility. . .at least at times. For the most part though it is very relaxing to be in, to just hang out with friends & get your mind away. I have sat here in silence, I have listened to chill vibes, indie vibes, classical. I have felt that I can ease myself by being alone & having a few days alone. Once the insurance get everything situated & we get the wall back up in the living room, I will be completely ready to sell tons of clothes for under $5, shoes for under $20 & organize everything. I'm excited to make the guest room vibrant & have energy that makes you feel creative.

Speaking of creative. . .my darling friend Rey is amazing! He has been crafting & bracelets happens to be one of his wonderful talents. Now I know it's not the day for features, but I just wanted to show you the Buddha bracelet that he made for me. I purchased several bracelets at a great price. He is very reasonable & besides that just an overall great guy.

The bracelet goes so well with all the Buddha & Buddhist items we have in our home. Although we aren't Buddhist, we believe in the Buddhist ways & by having Buddha with us it can help keep us sane. We all get out of hand but when we can have a nice bracelet with him to help us know "Ok...Buddhist relax, they don't rush, they find a way to be calm" we gradually do.

BUT, if anyone is interested PLEASE feel free to get in touch with Rey.

Back From Hiatus?!

Mizi being the goddess that she believes she is on a Sunday.
Honestly who knows if I'm back completely, but I should be coming back. I have ideas, I have things I want to share, I just know that my personal blog (my .com) is what I loved updating & reaching out to everyone. If you've been following me on Twitter & Instagram (Ahlexandria) you'll know that I'm just randomly living & relaxing. As far as my .com goes it's definitely going to need to be bumped back up into my priorities & the goals I've set & wanted to share. I want it to be more personal. I'm trying to figure out days for just personal post, additional posts (ie: OOTD, WDYW, Features, Photos). I want a set day for each of the things, a weekly overview & then just a personal blog post day. I'm working on it, working on making my .com the best that it can be in my eyes.

I hope everyone is doing well. Remember that we all grow, we all learn & even though we take time away, we continue to just live life.

Talk to you Tuesday lovlies. <3
